The Appeal of Indian Diplomats

The Appeal of Indian Diplomats

By 2030 it’s anticipated to sit down alongside the usa and China with respect to size. India retaliated and raised import duties on several products imported from the United States. It is not in much of a position to demand anything of the US. It said it would investigate the allegations. New Delhi however looks ready to significantly underplay this actuality. Pakistan should start by propagating its narrative in Asian nations, exploiting the grievances that lots of regional nations already have towards India. Iran is a significant strategic partner for India.

Choosing Good Indian Diplomats

The problem isn’t just limited to India. How Bisaria was sent as a member of the team is regarded as a masterstroke by EAM Jaishankar. In some ways this is logical. Common sense also will help identify some erroneous alternatives. They are currently hoping to acquire a feeling of whether the government is bothered by the worldwide criticism against the law. You won’t be happy whilst studying when your mind is wondering about that magnificent scene in that magnificent movie. However, the truth is that there’s a transactional element to them as well.

Breaks are quite important. What occurred throughout the remainder of June and into August was a collection of tit-for-tat exchanges between the 2 sides. Each and every day, you are going to feel more productive and more confident. If you’re writing mains this calendar year, then don’t conduct class notes now. However, as we’ve seen in the previous decade, things have changed in Kashmir.

Today Ugandan men and women wish to gain from Indian skills. I am only able to share my experience. It is a chance to develop into a better person and learn more. If it escalates, there’s a potential of this turning into a monster that we are able tonot contain. It isn’t only the direct advantages that matter, but in addition the indirect ones. There are economic expenses, but they’ve been accounted for.

When you’re studying according to a study program, the method will get smooth. That, as noted above, isn’t a path Indian government would like to take. So no government in India will probably pursue real shift. The 2 countries will take a tough stand on the matter. The nation isn’t a stranger to extremes. No country is prepared to purchase Pakistan’s terrorism as they are somehow in the work of saving Kashmir’. He should learn how to take care of sovereign nations with respect.

The Advantages of Indian Diplomats

Harassment of families wouldn’t be tolerated whatsoever, he maintained. This wasn’t a one-off incident. However, these are rare and exceptional scenarios,” he states. First and foremost are the structural changes required to advertise the ease of conducting business in India. This procedure isn’t a punishment. It may also be assisted via the transfer of strategic US military products which are a few of the greatest on earth. There is additionally the option of conducting the long awaited plebiscite.

There’s some confusion on various issues between both countries, but there’s no mistrust,” she explained. Terror, India proclaimed, cannot go together with talks. Indian army can, and ought to, take credit for it. Ambassadors are permitted to take two. In this kind of situation, almost all of these diplomats have concluded that the protests weren’t confined to the Muslim community.

The ministry doesn’t keep tabs on such numbers. In addition, there are thirty eight staff who are there to make sure you have everything you would like. In addition, there are numerous Indian doctors. If you believe you will need some additional practice for that competitive edge, then you can do some Mains tests at this time, particularly for the static part but the present affairs would differ for the Mains next calendar year. American technology firms also have been affected.

Why doesn’t Amit Shah rule out NRC in clear terms: Chidambaram

Why doesn’t Amit Shah rule out NRC in clear terms: Chidambaram

New Delhi: Noting that NRC in Assam has led to”sour experience,” senior Congress leader P Chidambaram on Saturday said the National Population Register (NPR) of the BJP government”was clearly linked to the NRC” and asked why Home Minister Amit Shah wasn’t saying in clear terms that the NRC exercise will not be carried out.

Former Home Minister Chidambaram told ANI in an exclusive interview that the NPR carried out by the UPA government was different from the NPR practice being carried out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi government as six questions are added.

He said the NPR exercise has been stopped after the population census during the Congress-led UPA government.

“Go back to what we did and what we did not do. The NPR was given to Census Commissioner and Registrar General only in selected states. It was an aid to the Census of 2011. So we did NPR in 2010 as an aid to the Census of 2011. The matter ceased When the census was finished. We didn’t go. We didn’t do NRC. We did not even begin to think of NRC. Today the context is different. The BJP government has done an NRC in Assam,” he said.

The former Finance Minister said that the NRC in Assam had left over 19 lakh people “stateless”.

“If the highest quarters inspired trust, we will accept that word. NPR is clearly linked to NRC. Why did the Home Minister not say yesterday we are doing NPR; we won’t do NRC? Why does he not say that? Let them say that NRC is ruled out. Let them say it will never be accomplished. It is the ten words that are simple. We just did NPR. It helped the census. We did not take half a step forward,” he said.

Home Minister Amit Shah had informed ANI earlier that NPR and NRC were not linked. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also said at a rally at the federal capital last month that there was no debate on implementing NRC.

Chidambaram said the content of NPR carried out by the UPA government and that by the Modi government was very different both in”text and context”.

He said that there were 15 questions in the NPR conducted during the UPA government but the BJP-led government has added questions such as the place of the last residence, place of birth of father and mother and licence number.

They have added six fields – what is your last place of residence, what’s the place of arrival of your father and mother, driving licence number, voter ID number, Aadhar number. Why are they asking all these items? Therefore, both the context and the text are different. We have experience of Assam NRC. Do not compare NPR 2010 that was to help the census with the NPR 2020, which is a step towards the NRC,” he said.

Chidambaram said if the BJP claims the NPR 2010 was correct, it should stick to the form. “Do not go beyond the 15 fields. And announce that the NPR will not be done. Even yesterday the Home Minister refused to declare the NRC won’t be done,” he said.

Shah had targeted the opposition parties over protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) during a rally at Jodhpur on Friday.

“We have a bitter experience of Assam NRC. There was no Assam NRC when we did NPR 2010. We didn’t have the bitter experience of 19,06,657 people. Do you discount that elephant? That elephant is sitting there. In the face of the elephant, you see that elephant and you pretend that there’s no issue,” he said.

Answering a query, he said the NPR done during the UPA government was useful to the census since NPR data “is practically all the information that census requires.”

Till Tibet is settled, army chief Naravane must hold back on China border issue

Till Tibet is settled, army chief Naravane must hold back on China border issue

Not only does this show a shift in the defence position, but his statement is also a clear indication that under his leadership, the Army intends to enhance its capability from the northern borders, such as in the northeast.

Even though there isn’t any immediate threat of any kind – standard or non-conventional – on the northern front, where India shares a border with China, Bhutan, and Nepal, the Army chief’s statement can’t be dismissed as simply’taking over office’ speech.

We have been giving attention. The northern front now also requires an equal amount of attention,’ he told the press after taking over as the 28th leader of the Indian Army, succeeding General Bipin Rawat, who is currently India’s first Chief of Defence Staff.

Equally significant was Gen Naravane’s assertion that the force is capable of dealing with any security challenge. The warning from the chief of the second-largest army in the world – almost 14 lakh active staff, 11.55 lakh reserve forces and another paramilitary force of 20 lakh recruits – should not be dismissed by our errant neighbour, Pakistan. The Army chief’s reference to Balakot strikes while reiterating that’India reserves the right to pre-emptively attack’ in the sources of terror assumes greater importance.

The Narendra Modi government has since 2014 revealed that while there is not any radical change in New Delhi’s foreign or defence policies, the response mechanism has surely changed, and for the better. The Army chief’s reiteration that a’new normal’ in India’s response mechanism to acts of cross-border terrorism has been phatically’ displayed will be adequately taken note of not just by Islamabad but also the string-pullers in Beijing.

It should be noted that China’s response was muted, to say the least. China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who had at the time stressed on the need for preventing escalation and solving the matter through dialogue, met National Security Adviser Ajit Doval in December to present China’s border talks plan with India, nearly indicating how Beijing would react in the event of another such’pre-emptive’ strike.

After this meeting, China suggested a fairly new draft framework to resolve the long-pending border dispute that India is now going over.

Since that proposal, the Army, after change of guard at the bottom level, has outlined not only the focus area – the northern boundary – but the’how’ as well. ‘We don’t need to be competitive but firm.’ Certainly, the Army is laying it out how it would go about achieving what the chief had earlier described as’eventual solution’ across the India-China border.

But is it needed?

India-China border dispute has a number of strategic locations all along the non-demarcated former India-Tibet border – from Aksai Chin to Arunachal Pradesh. Aksai Chin, the uninhabited high elevation wasteland that lies in Ladakh and Xinjiang province connects China to six countries and also to India through Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).

China has refused to include Aksai Chin in border talks under the pretext that the region, ceded to it illegally by Pakistan, is part of the’disputed’ area of POK. New Delhi has contacted Beijing that India’s stand on Aksai Chin remains unchanged from the time Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had described Aksai Chin as’part of the Ladakh region of India for centuries’ and that this northern boundary was a’firm and definite one which was not open to discussion with anyone’.

This explains China’s discomfort over India’s move regarding Article 370 and the creation of two Union Territories from the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state followed by the subsequent statements on POK by External Affairs Minister Jaishankar -‘PoK a part of India and we expect one day that we’ll have physical jurisdiction over it’

Army chief General Naravane, when asked about these statements that were regular on’taking over POK’, stated that’the Army analyses strategises and all threats accordingly’. In simple English, it merely means that the Army is ready to execute any strategy that the political and security establishments would prepare for it.

Thousands march to protest in Hyderabad against CAA

Thousands march to protest in Hyderabad against CAA

Hyderabad: tens of thousands of citizens turned up to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act and the National Register of Citizens at Hyderabad’s Dharna Chowk on Saturday afternoon. The’Million March’ protest, which was conducted by an umbrella of Muslim and civil society organizations, drew a sea of protestors from all walks of life, notwithstanding the Hyderabad police stating that only 1,000 people are permitted to gather the site.

The protest in a way was a victory for the organizers, who were first refused permission to perform a rally at Hyderabad’s Tank Bund (which is one of the principal thoroughfares connecting different parts of the city) last month.

The consent to hold the public meeting at Dharna Chowk was granted after the organizers approached the Telangana High Court, which asked the city police to rethink the application for its protest. The cops allowed to be held from 2 to 5 pm.

Given the anti-CAA and -NRC sentiments running among taxpayers, many turned up of the demonstration much before 2 pm, with the audience continuing to swell at around 3 pm. The incoming sea of taxpayer protestors also caused the police opening the NTR Stadium behind Dharna Chowk, in which many of the protestors were accommodated. The turnout was undeniably higher than what was expected.

From”Inquilab Zindabad” into”Narendra Modi down down”, protestors chanted various slogans.

“People are extremely angry and frustrated. The Centre will now know better than to go ahead with the NRC. This protest isn’t just about the CAA or NRC, but about all of the atrocities that were being perpetrated against minorities by right-wing activists associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS),” said Mohd. A student who turned up in the protest along with his friends, imran.

Muslim women, including housewives and the elderly, also turned up in large numbers. Students from the city left early from classes to show up in solidarity or also gave their school a miss. Moreover, from throughout the city, business owners from markets like the Pathargatti (from the Old City) and Abids areas also downed their shutters in solidarity and showed up the’Million March’ protest.

The major protest, which a police official, who did not wish to be named, said easily touched 10,000 individuals, comes only about 10 days after the RSS also held a march at the Saroor Nagar stadium (which comes under the Rachakonda police limits. The Greater Hyderabad area is divided between the Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda commissionerates) on 25 December last year.

“If the authorities can allow those RSS individuals to march on the streets, then there isn’t any way they can deny us our right to protest. We’re coming here with the Indian flag in hand, rather than the saffron flag which basically is a symbol of divisiveness. It is very unfortunate that the organizers had to go to the High Court, which clearly proves that the cops will also be biased,” said Sara Syeda, a second-year graduate in the town who turned up to protest with her friends.

Prior to this, there was a similar demonstration held in Dharna Chowk in December after the CAA was passed. Post that, ordinary citizens, who were fed up of the police also organized many flash protests.

Tens of thousands march in Baghdad to mourn others, Soleimani

Tens of thousands march in Baghdad to mourn others, Soleimani

Baghdad: Tens of thousands of people marched in Baghdad on Saturday to mourn Iran’s military chief Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi militia leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, killed in a US air strike that has raised the spectre of broader conflict in the West Asia.

Gholamali Abuhamzeh, a senior commander of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards, said Tehran would penalize Americans”wherever they are in reach”, and raised the possibility of potential attacks on ships in the Gulf.

The US Embassy in Baghdad urged citizens to leave Iraq. Dozens of American employees of foreign oil firms left the southern Iraqi city of Basra on Friday. The USA and its allies have suspended training of Iraqi forces due to the increased threat, the military said in a letter seen by Reuters late on Friday.

Muhandis was the deputy commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilisation Forces (PMF) umbrella body of paramilitary groups. A PMF-organised procession carrying the bodies of Soleimani, Muhandis and other Iraqis killed in the U.S. attack happened in Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone.

Mourners included many militiamen for whom Soleimani and Muhandis were heroes. They carried portraits of both men and plastered them on walls and armoured personnel carriers in the procession, and chanted, “Death to America” and “No No Israel”.

Militia commander Hadi al-Amiri and prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, the top candidate to succeed Muhandis and a Iran ally, attended.

Mourners brought the bodies of those killed in the strike by car. The procession was to end in Najaf, another town where the Iraqis and Muhandis killed will be put to rest.

Soleimani’s body will be transferred on Saturday. On Sunday it will be carried to the Shi’ite holy city of Mashhad in Iran’s northeast and from there to Tehran and his hometown Kerman in the southeast for burial on Tuesday, state media said.

Trump said on Friday Soleimani had been plotting imminent attacks on American diplomats and military personnel.

The U.S. strike followed a sharp increase in U.S.-Iranian hostilities in Iraq since last week when pro-Iranian militia attacked the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad after a deadly U.S. air raid on the Kataib Hezbollah militia, founded by Muhandis.

On Friday, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed to retaliate and said Soleimani’s death would intensify the Islamic Republic’s immunity to the United States and Israel.

Abuhamzeh, the Revolutionary Guards commander in Kerman province, mentioned a set of potential targets for reprisals including the Gulf waterway through which about a third of the planet’s shipborne oil is exported to global markets.

“The Strait of Hormuz is a very important point for the West and a high number of American destroyers and warships cross there,” Abuhamzeh was quoted as saying on Friday evening from the semi-official news agency Tasnim.

“Vital American targets in the area have long since been identified by Iran. .

In Iran, some people worried that the country might be pushed by the death of Soleimani into war with a superpower.

“I feel so miserable for Soleimani’s departure but what if America and Iran begin a war? I have children. What if they ship my (university student) son to war?” Stated Monireh.

Mohamed Raad, a political leader in Lebanon’s heavily armed Hezbollah movement, stated retaliation by the Iran-backed”axis of resistance” – militia groups in nations from Lebanon to Yemen – would be decisive, al-Mayadeen TV reported Saturday.

‘REVENGE ON THE MURDERERS’

Many Iraqis condemned the U.S. attack, regarding Soleimani as a hero for his role in defeating Islamic State militants who captured large swathes of central and north Iraq in 2014.

“It is necessary to take revenge on the murderers. The martyrs got the prize they wanted – the decoration of martyrdom,” said one of the marchers, Ali al-Khatib.

Many Iraqis also voiced fear of being engulfed in a significant U.S.-Iranian conflict, and of militia reprisals against people involved in months of street protests against the Iranian-backed Baghdad government over alleged misrule and corruption.

They said Soleimani and Muhandis had endorsed the use of force against unarmed anti-government protesters last year and established militias which demonstrators blame for many of Iraq’s social and economic woes.

Syria death toll tops 380,000 in virtually war: Monitor

Syria death toll tops 380,000 in virtually war: Monitor

Beirut: Almost nine years of civil war in Syria has left over 380,000 people dead including over 115,000 civilians, a war monitor said in a new toll Saturday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which has a network of resources across the nation, said they comprised around 22,000 children and more than 13,000 women.

The conflict has displaced or sent around 13 million Syrians into exile, causing billions of dollars-worth of destruction.

The Britain-based Observatory’s final casualty toll on the Syrian battle, issued in March last year, stood at more than 370,000 dead.

The latest toll included over 128,000 Syrian and non-Syrian pro-regime fighters.

More than half of those were Syrian soldiers, while 1,682 were out of the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah whose members were fighting in Syria since 2013.

The war has also taken the lives of over 69,000 opposition, Islamist, and Kurdish-led fighters.

It has killed more than 67,000 jihadists, largely from the Islamic State group and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), a group dominated by Syria’s former Al-Qaeda affiliate.

The total death toll does not include some 88,000 people who died of torture in regime jails, or thousands missing after being abducted by all sides in the conflict.

With the aid of powerful allies Russia and Iran, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has inched his way back in recent years to controlling almost two-thirds of the nation.

That comes after a series of successes against rebels and jihadists because 2015, but also his forces being deployed to regions of the northeast of the country under a deal to halt a Turkish cross-border operation last year.

Areas of the country, however, remain beyond the range of the Damascus government.

They include the last major opposition bastion of Idlib, a region of some three million people that is ruled by the jihadists of HTS.

An escalation in violence there in recent weeks has caused 284,000 people to flee their homes, according to the United Nations.

In the northeast, Turkish troops and their proxies command a strip of land across the boundary after seizing it from Kurdish fighters earlier this year.

Kurdish-led forces control the far east Syria, where US troops are deployed near major oil fields.

Syria’s conflict is estimated to have set its economy back three decades, paralysing the production of oil and electricity and destroying infrastructure.

Robotics systems are the larger of those two categories throughout the five-year forecast period with worldwide robotics spending forecast to be $112.4 billion in 2020.

Spending on drones will total $16.3 billion in 2020 but is forecast to grow at a faster rate – 33.3 percent CAGR than 17.8 percent CAGR of robotics systems. “Software improvements are among the most important trends currently shaping the robotics industry.

Solution providers are progressively integrating additional software-based, often cloud-based, functionalities to robotics systems,” Remy Glaisner, Research Director at IDC’s Worldwide Robotics: Commercial Service Robots. Discrete manufacturing will be responsible for almost half of all robotics systems spending worldwide in 2020 with purchases totalling $53.8 billion.

The next largest industries for robotics systems will be process manufacturing, resource industries, healthcare and retail. The industries that will see the growth in robotics spending over the 2019-2023 forecast are retail wholesale and construction.

Spending on drones are also dominated by hardware purchases with over 90 percent of the category total going toward customer drones, after-market detectors and service drones in 2020. Drone software spending will mostly go to command and control applications and drone-specific software while services spending will be led by training and education.

Consumer spending drones will total $6.5 billion in 2020 and will represent almost 40 percent of the global total throughout the forecast.

The resource industry will move ahead of manufacturing and both building to become the second biggest industry for spending in 2021, according to the prediction. The fastest growth in drone spending within the five-year forecast period will come from the federal/central government, education and state/local authorities, said the report.
